How to transfer my mobile number

What are PAC codes?

PAC stands for Porting Authorisation Code, and is a code made up of 3 letters and 6 numbers (e.g. ABC123456) that is generated by your old mobile provider to authorise your new network operator to port your phone number over to them. It is free to request and valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

This enables you to keep your existing mobile phone number and transfer it over when you change network providers.

You can transfer your number even after you purchase your new phone contract or mobile SIM. It is not necessary to have your PAC number before switching to a new mobile network, as it can be ported over at a later date.
