How to get a PAC code to keep my mobile number

Porting Authorisation Codes (PAC) allow you to keep your mobile phone number when switching networks.

What is a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code)?

Porting Authorisation Code or PAC for short, is a code made up of 3 letters and 6 numbers, which is generated by your old mobile provider to authorise your new network operator to port your phone number over to them. It is free to request and valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

This enables you to keep your existing mobile phone number and take it with you when you switch network providers.

You can transfer your number even after you purchase your new mobile contract or phone SIM. It is not necessary to have your PAC number before buying your new mobile deal, as it can be ported over at a later date.
